Hey guys! I'm Ellen. I'm a San Diego girl living in La Jolla Shores with my husband Will, our son Billy and our pup Luna! Before moving back home to San Diego in winter 2016 I lived in Washington, D.C. where I was a TV producer/reporter for about 6 years. Prior to that I lived in Atlanta for college (go Emory Eagles!). I am loving living back home near the beach and close to my family! I am currently working as a residential real estate agent (so let me know if you know anyone looking to buy or sell in SD!) I've always had a passion for health and fitness and grew up very active always in sports and played volleyball from elementary school through college. I'm usually trying some new healthy recipe or the latest and greatest workout class (I am currently hooked on Orange Theory and Elevate Pilates/Core40). However, I have learned to love Beachbody on Demand (BOD) and home workouts now that I have a little one! Such a game changer for me! These workouts combined with daily superfood shakes and monthly accountability groups have allowed me to return to my pre-baby weight! Now that I'm pregnant with baby #2 (due in August!), I am excited to have these tools at my disposal so I can have a really fit and healthy pregnancy. I look forward to sharing some of my favorite tips, tricks, workouts, and recipes with all of you!
My mom always used the phrase "everything in moderation" when I was growing up and I think that is the best health tip in the world! I've tried restrictive diets in the past, but that only leads to binging later and it can never be a long term solution. The key is balance. Have that piece of chocolate if you want it! Life is too short to not eat chocolate and drink wine :) (which I am missing right now...I miss wine...ha)
